Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent (CxA)

Location: Various locations including Fayetteville/Douglasville, GA; Boydton, VA; Ashburn, VA; Manassas, VA; Jackson, MS; Santa Clara/San Jose, CA (Local candidates within 50 miles are preferred)

Overview: Are you passionate about ensuring systems operate at peak performance and comply with design specifications? Join our team as a Support Mechanical Commissioning Agent (CxA), where you will leverage your technical expertise to verify the functionality of mechanical systems in line with the Owners' Project Requirements (OPR). This role is critical in facilitating successful commissioning processes and guarantees that all systems are tested and verified according to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities: - Review and apply training documentation to support day-to-day activities effectively. - Communicate professionally and confidently with clients, engineers of record, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. - Learn and implement the commissioning (Cx) process in the field. - Develop comprehensive Cx procedures utilizing templates provided. - Collaborate with project managers to aid in Cx schedule development, ensuring timely testing and inspections. - Assist in developing load bank plans for integrated testing of mechanical systems. - Contribute to the formulation of the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Verification plan, conducting TAB verification as necessary. - Deploy data loggers strategically for accurate data collection. - Execute functional testing alongside a team, filling in daily onsite testing logs. - Conduct infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, documenting data in spreadsheets and marking IR photos of mechanical equipment. - Help create IST reports, including Excel charts that visualize collected data.

Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. - Experience: No prior work experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to enter the field. - Technical Skills: A general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems; military experience is a plus. - Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting tasks. - Math Skills: Ability to perform calculations including percentages and proportions. - Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to understand and convey information clearly and effectively. - Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership abilities; capable of working independently. - Travel: Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time for project site visits.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: - Must establish a dedicated home office equipped for daily responsibilities. - Daily travel to worksites is essential; expect to travel on a rotation of three weeks onsite followed by one week of remote work. - Ability to communicate with diverse individuals and follow instructions is crucial. - Physical requirements include the capacity to perform strenuous activities, stand for extended periods, maneuver in rugged or unstable conditions, and transport test equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. - Occasionally required to navigate ladders or perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
