This role provides hands-on work with DDC controls, HVAC automation, and energy management systems in commercial buildings, high-tech manufacturing facilities, and government environments.

  • Location: Huntsville, AL (local travel to customer facilities)

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot BAS/DDC control systems for HVAC equipment
  • Perform functional testing, point-to-point checkout, and equipment start-up
  • Diagnose communication, programming, or hardware-related BAS problems
  • Load, edit, and verify control programs and graphics
  • Install sensors, controllers, actuators, relays, and low-voltage wiring
  • Work with facility teams to resolve comfort, scheduling, and performance issues
  • Document work performed, system changes, and testing results accurately

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years of field experience with BAS/DDC or HVAC controls
  • Background with Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or similar BAS platforms
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment operations and control sequences
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, plans, and control submittals
  • Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks communication protocols
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working independently in secure or high-tech environments
