BAS Support Specialist – MD/DC Metro – $75K to $95K + Profit Sharing – Leading BAS/HVAC/R Distributor

About the Opportunity:

A long-standing leader in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Building Automation distribution is seeking a skilled BAS Support Specialist to join their MD/DC Metro team. This hybrid technical support role is ideal for an experienced BAS technician or controls specialist looking to transition into a customer-facing position with a respected Mid-Atlantic distributor. You’ll provide real-time support, product selection guidance, and system layout expertise for contractors working across multiple BAS platforms.

Position Details:

  • Title: BAS Support Specialist
  • Location: MD/DC Metro (Maryland, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Status: Full-Time | Primarily In-Office with Occasional Field Visits

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to BAS contractors via phone, email, and remote access tools
  • Assist with presale application guidance, equipment selection, and system layout recommendations
  • Prepare product quotes and support order processing within distributor systems
  • Coordinate deliveries, logistics, and inventory for controls and HVAC/R products
  • Support post-sale installation, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting needs
  • Train contractors on BAS platforms and assist with product onboarding
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Strong knowledge of BAS programming, HVAC system operations, and field controls
  • Solid computer and networking skills, including IP addressing and controller communication
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
  • Tridium Niagara N4 certification required
  • Experience with Honeywell WEBs, JCI Facility Explorer, or similar platforms preferred
