Position Details
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Tampa, Florida
- Hiring: Mid-Level and Senior-Level Technicians
- Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
- Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (varies by region/role)
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, sensors, relays, controllers, and control panels
- Perform functional testing, device verification, and complete point-to-point checkout procedures
- Support BAS networking and integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols
- Partner with project managers and programmers to ensure accurate commissioning and project closeout
- Deliver high-quality customer service and on-site technical support
- Accurately document system updates, test results, and work performed
Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated experience as a BAS Controls Technician or closely related controls position
- Strong hands-on background with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, and boilers
- Familiarity with leading BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
- Skilled in troubleshooting with strong communication and customer interaction abilities
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within West/Central Florida
