A rapidly expanding national contractor is seeking a motivated Controls Project Manager in Indianapolis, IN to support HVAC controls and building automation installation projects. This role is an excellent entry-level pathway for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management within the mechanical and automation trades.
Position Overview:
- Title: Controls Project Manager
- Location: Indianapolis, IN (In-Office Position)
- Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 (Dependent on experience)
- Bonus: Pending confirmation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating HVAC controls and BAS project activities
- Work closely with project superintendents and foremen to understand project scope and deliverables
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy
- Perform job site walks and support field teams during various project phases
- Track materials, labor hours, and document project progress
- Participate in internal and external project meetings to support workflow and communication
- Utilize project management platforms such as Procore to maintain organized project records
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong technical interest in HVAC controls and construction project management
- Highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow into a long-term PM role
- Familiarity with DDC systems and construction/project management software
