Position Details:
- Title: Controls Design Engineer
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Status: Full-Time | Office-Based with Field Visits
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working as a BAS Design Engineer or in a similar controls engineering role
- Proficient with AutoCAD or MS Visio for control system layouts and design
- Hands-on experience developing and modifying Tridium graphical user interfaces
- Capable of creating and interpreting detailed Sequences of Operations (SOO)
- Understanding of controls programming fundamentals and BAS troubleshooting
- Strong documentation, communication, and technical writing skills
- Comfortable conducting job walks and coordinating with contractors, engineers, and internal teams
- Knowledge of building automation and energy management systems
- Experience with ALC (Automated Logic) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, draft, and manage BAS control system architecture from initial concept to project completion
- Prepare detailed design packages, submittals, and documentation for installations
- Develop graphical interfaces and assist with configuration of control software
- Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines and technical standards
- Conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with engineering and installation teams
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $25.00–$40.00/hr. (DOE)
