Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Boston, MA region.

startup, commissioning, and service of Building Automation Systems (BAS) for healthcare, higher education,

Position Details
- Title: Controls Technician
- Location: Boston, MA (Greater Boston Area)
- Compensation: $38.00/hr – $48.00/hr + Overtime
- Bonus: Year-End Performance & Profitability Bonus

Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) across diverse facility types
- Coordinate BAS installations according to engineered drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Mount and wire controllers, sensors, and control panels; test and validate control sequences
- Program and integrate BAS software databases, including custom logic, sequence modifications, and system tuning
- Perform point-to-point verification and full-system commissioning to ensure system integrity and performance
- Diagnose issues with inputs, outputs, network communication, and field devices
- Work with BAS communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and LON
- Collaborate with building owners, GCs, engineers, and end users to support successful project turnover
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Controls Technician or similar BAS controls role
- Strong proficiency in controls integration, programming, and commissioning practices
- Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and HVAC equipment operation
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic capabilities, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented communicator who can work independently and as part of a team
