About the Opportunity:
Radius Systems, a trusted provider of customized building automation, lighting, and security solutions, is looking for a driven Sales Engineer to join their expanding team in Chadds Ford, PA. This position is ideal for an intermediate to senior-level sales professional with strong estimating capabilities, experience in controls systems, and a background in plan-and-spec bidding.
Position Details:

Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5+ years of experience in Controls Sales, Estimating, or BAS-related roles
- Skilled in project take-offs, estimating, and developing scopes of work
- Familiarity with plan/spec bidding processes and RFI preparation
- Comfortable leading presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns
- Strong understanding of BAS technologies and system integration
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MS Visio is beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle project take-offs, equipment selection, and estimation for proposals
- Develop scopes, bids, and RFIs for both design-build and plan/spec work
- Coordinate with engineering and internal teams to ensure proposal accuracy
- Engage engineers, end users, and contractors to expand new business opportunities
- Support internal marketing efforts and technical training initiatives
- Maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to upsell services

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $60,000–$90,000 (DOE)
- Commission: Flat rate per sale – annual earnings typically around $30,000
