A nationally recognized mechanical and controls contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Applications Engineer to join its St. Louis, MO team. Position Details:
- Title: Controls Applications Engineer
- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Salary: $65,000 – $95,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Design BAS system architecture using MS Visio or AutoCAD tools
- Write and develop detailed Sequences of Operations for controls projects
- Create design documentation, submittals, and Bills of Materials for project delivery
- Evaluate HVAC equipment to determine controls hardware, sensors, and layout requirements
- Review mechanical submittals and translate them into BAS control strategies
- Conduct job walks and assess site conditions to support design development
- Assist project teams and field technicians with programming insights and troubleshooting needs
- Ensure accurate, timely completion of all assigned design packages
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Controls Applications Engineer or similar BAS design role
- Familiarity with Tridium Niagara platforms preferred
- Solid understanding of electrical components and control circuitry
- Background preparing control drawings, submittals, and design/build packages
- Ability to interpret HVAC equipment data, plans, and specifications
