A growing Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a qualified BAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand region. This role is field-focused and centers around installing, servicing, and commissioning DDC control systems for commercial buildings, resorts, entertainment venues, healthcare facilities, and coastal infrastructure.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Field-Based

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Range: $32.00 – $46.00/hr (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission DDC/BAS control systems for HVAC applications
  • Troubleshoot BAS/DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and network issues
  • Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and system startup
  • Update schedules, alarms, graphics, and parameter settings as needed
  • Assist with retrofit projects, new construction, and service agreements
  • Collaborate with mechanical contractors, building engineers, and project managers
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and commissioning records

Ideal Candidate

  • 1–3+ years of experience working with BAS, DDC, or HVAC controls
  • Working knowledge of platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Honeywell
  • Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks communication protocols
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control prints, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and customer-facing professionalism
  • Comfortable working independently in the field throughout the Myrtle Beach area
