About the Opportunity:
An established building automation and environmental controls contractor is seeking an experienced Controls Programmer to support projects throughout the Columbus, Ohio region. This position includes both in-field programming and in-office development work, with an emphasis on Tridium platforms and HVAC system integration. It’s an excellent role for a motivated BAS professional looking to advance their programming skill set in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Controls Programmer or Systems Specialist
- Strong proficiency with Tridium/Niagara programming
- Ability to build complete control databases from the ground up
- Skilled in troubleshooting, refining, and developing BAS logic
- Effective communicator with field technicians, PMs, and customer stakeholders
- Knowledge of BACnet and common BAS communication protocols
- Understanding of HVAC systems and their integration with automation controls
- Comfortable performing onsite programming, commissioning support, and system validation
- Capable of overseeing programming tasks from initial development through final signoff
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom BAS programs or adapt existing library code as needed
- Create and configure Tridium graphical user interfaces
- Troubleshoot, update, and enhance existing automation systems
- Coordinate programming activities with installation and commissioning teams
- Ensure all developed programs meet project design intent and functionality requirements
- Conduct onsite deployments, verification, and testing of system performance
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000–$100,000 (DOE)
