About the Opportunity

A growing Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Providence metro and surrounding Rhode Island region. This role focuses on installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing modern DDC/BAS systems in commercial, healthcare, university, and municipal facilities.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission BAS/DDC control systems
  • Perform point-to-point verification and functional system testing
  • Troubleshoot control panels, field devices, and network communication issues
  • Assist with programming changes, graphics updates, and logic adjustments
  • Interpret control diagrams, wiring schematics, and sequences of operation
  • Document commissioning results and maintain accurate service records
  • Support mechanical contractors, engineers, and end users during project execution
  • Respond to service calls and provide customer-facing technical support

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience working as a BAS Controls Technician or HVAC Controls Specialist
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with BAS/DDC systems
  • Hands-on experience installing, wiring, and commissioning control components
  • Familiarity with Tridium, Honeywell, Siemens, Alerton, or Distech systems
  • Understanding of HVAC equipment (AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAVs, heat pumps)
  • Clear communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
