A growing Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilled
BAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Providence metro and surrounding Rhode Island region.
This role focuses on installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing modern DDC/BAS systems in commercial, healthcare, university, and municipal facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission BAS/DDC control systems
- Perform point-to-point verification and functional system testing
- Troubleshoot control panels, field devices, and network communication issues
- Assist with programming changes, graphics updates, and logic adjustments
- Interpret control diagrams, wiring schematics, and sequences of operation
- Document commissioning results and maintain accurate service records
- Support mechanical contractors, engineers, and end users during project execution
- Respond to service calls and provide customer-facing technical support
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working as a BAS Controls Technician or HVAC Controls Specialist
- Strong troubleshooting ability with BAS/DDC systems
- Hands-on experience installing, wiring, and commissioning control components
- Familiarity with Tridium, Honeywell, Siemens, Alerton, or Distech systems
- Understanding of HVAC equipment (AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAVs, heat pumps)
- Clear communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
