BAS Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, and high-altitude facilities across Colorado’s
Mountain Metro region.

mountain industrial sites.

Role Overview
The BAS Controls Technician will focus on service, troubleshooting, tuning, and system upgrades for DDC/BAS systems across
a wide range of facilities. You’ll work independently in the field, responding to service calls, optimizing
existing systems for performance, and supporting retrofit and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair BAS/DDC system issues for commercial and industrial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot networked controls, communication failures, and device-level problems
- Perform software updates, adjust control logic, and tune system parameters
- Conduct field inspections, point-to-point tests, and functional system verifications
- Install, configure, and calibrate sensors, actuators, and controllers
- Work with building operators on system training, optimization, and alarm management
- Support integration using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols
- Provide accurate service reports, documentation, and recommended improvements
- Participate in after-hours/on-call rotation during seasonal peaks
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or HVAC Controls Specialist
- Strong troubleshooting background with BAS/DDC systems
- Ability to diagnose controls issues in challenging or remote environments
- Comfort working independently across multiple mountain locations
- Solid understanding of HVAC equipment and mechanical fundamentals
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Tridium Niagara, Alerton, Schneider, Siemens, or Distech
- Experience servicing systems in high-elevation or cold-weather environments
- Background with ski resorts, hospitality, medical campuses, or municipal buildings
