A well-established Building Automation & HVAC Controls provider is seeking a skilled
BAS Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, institutional, and healthcare facilities throughout the
Birmingham metropolitan area. This role focuses on hands-on service, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of
DDC/BAS control systems.

- Location: Birmingham, AL (local travel)
- Pay Range: $34.00 – $48.00/hr (DOE)

About the Role:
You will work on a variety of building automation control systems used in schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities,
office buildings, and government properties. The ideal candidate can independently troubleshoot HVAC controls, support new installations,
and ensure owner satisfaction through high-quality technical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, and configure BAS/DDC controllers, sensors, and field devices
- Perform point-to-point device testing, functional checkout, and full commissioning
- Troubleshoot HVAC sequence issues, network communication errors, and device faults
- Modify, adjust, and optimize BAS programs for system performance
- Load databases, create graphics, and adjust alarms/trends
- Collaborate with mechanical contractors, electricians, and facility maintenance teams
- Interpret sequences of operation, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Provide customer support and basic end-user training
Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience working with BAS/DDC systems
- Experience with platforms such as Tridium, Automated Logic, Siemens, Honeywell, or JCI
- Strong HVAC mechanical knowledge and comfort diagnosing control loops
- Proficient in low-voltage wiring, installation, and field calibration
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
