Position Details:
- Title: Journeyman Controls Electrician
- Location: Grand Rapids, MI
- Status: Full-Time
- Travel: Local travel within the Grand Rapids area
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical or controls installation (Journeyman License preferred)
- Proficient in conduit bending, wire pulling, and panel wiring
- Understanding of HVAC and building automation system installations
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting low-voltage systems and electrical circuits
- Knowledge of BAS integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or similar
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate control wiring for HVAC and BAS equipment
- Assemble, wire, and label control panels based on project specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on job sites
- Perform conduit runs, wiring pulls, and installations aligned with NEC standards
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers during system installs and retrofits
- Assist with startup and support commissioning tasks for assigned projects
