Controls Technician – New Construction – Dallas, TX – Leading Building Automation Contractor

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a new construction–focused role in the Dallas metro area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, employee-owned company specializing in building automation and mechanical construction services. Position Details:

  • Title: Controls Technician
  • Location: Dallas, TX
  • Pay Rate: $40.00 – $45.00/hr (capped at $95,000 annually)
  • Overtime: Available
  • Vehicle: Company vehicle provided
  • Tridium Experience: Required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC control systems and related BAS equipment
  • Program control systems from scratch and rewrite existing sequences as needed
  • Perform commissioning, point-to-point checkout, and detailed system testing
  • Develop and modify BAS software, user graphics, and system databases
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and resolve system-level issues
  • Provide ongoing technical support and updates for client systems
  • Collaborate with contractors, end-users, and building owners throughout projects

Ideal Background:

  • Experience as a Controls Technician or similar BAS technical role
  • Hands-on knowledge of Tridium, Distech, Siemens, or JCI systems
  • Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems and control integration
  • Proficiency troubleshooting control loops, sequences, software, and graphics
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently across job sites
