A premier building automation and HVAC manufacturing representative is seeking a motivated Controls Account Executive to expand its presence in the Knoxville, TN region. This role is ideal for a self-driven sales professional with BAS experience who excels at business development and enjoys working closely with both technical teams and leadership.
Position Details:
- Title: Controls Account Executive

- Status: Full-Time | Travel: Occasional Site Visits
Ideal Candidate:
- Background as an Account Executive or Sales Representative within the BAS or building automation industry
- Strong ability to generate new business and manage long-term customer relationships
- Comfortable performing site visits and identifying technical project requirements
- Experienced in estimating, quoting, and submitting detailed proposals
- Able to partner with ownership and leadership teams to define scope and strategy
- Excellent communication skills with polished negotiation and presentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow the client base through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship development
- Maintain and expand existing customer accounts
- Conduct walkthroughs and gather relevant project specifications
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and tailored solutions for customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams and company leadership to support successful project outcomes
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $80,000–$95,000 (DOE)
- Commission: Available (OTE $120,000+)
