A premier building automation and HVAC manufacturing representative is seeking a motivated Controls Account Executive to expand its presence in the Knoxville, TN region. With more than 50 years of experience delivering design-build, retrofit, and service-focused controls solutions, this organization offers a collaborative environment and access to industry-leading automation technologies. This role is ideal for a self-driven sales professional with BAS experience who excels at business development and enjoys working closely with both technical teams and leadership.

Position Details:

  • Title: Controls Account Executive
  • Location: Knoxville, TN
  • Status: Full-Time | Travel: Occasional Site Visits

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background as an Account Executive or Sales Representative within the BAS or building automation industry
  • Strong ability to generate new business and manage long-term customer relationships
  • Comfortable performing site visits and identifying technical project requirements
  • Experienced in estimating, quoting, and submitting detailed proposals
  • Able to partner with ownership and leadership teams to define scope and strategy
  • Excellent communication skills with polished negotiation and presentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow the client base through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship development
  • Maintain and expand existing customer accounts
  • Conduct walkthroughs and gather relevant project specifications
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, and tailored solutions for customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and company leadership to support successful project outcomes

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$95,000 (DOE)
  • Commission: Available (OTE $120,000+)
  • Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (Employee Paid)
