In this position, you will take ownership of various essential tasks, including:
- Configuring and programming control systems for boilers, chiller plants, kilns, furnaces, batch processes, SCADA systems, and HMIs.
- Working with a diverse range of hardware, including Honeywell HC900 Controller, Honeywell ControlEdge PLC, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and other industrial controllers.
- Utilizing industry-standard software suites such as Honeywell Experion HS, Redlion Crimson, and Iconics to achieve optimal operational performance.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless design and programming activities.
- Conducting thorough testing of control system configurations to validate effectiveness.
- Assisting in the validation and commissioning of control systems during factory acceptance tests (FAT).
- Delivering on-site training for customers to ensure they are well-equipped to use the systems effectively.
- Proactively suggesting improvements and modifications to systems to enhance functionality and performance.
- Supporting sales and proposal development initiatives to aid in securing new projects.
- Handling warranty work and completing necessary documentation for assigned tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the controls engineering field.
- Two to four years of undergraduate coursework or an associate's degree in a related field, with preference given to Mechanical or Electrical Engineering candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Expertise in tuning control loops to achieve specific control system requirements.
- Familiarity with using Digital Volt/Ohm Meters and transmitter simulators for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of Ethernet Network Systems and experience interfacing control systems with these networks.
- Proficient in the use of Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs in utility or process control environments, with Honeywell HC900 experience considered a plus.
- Strong skills with HMIs and SCADA systems, particularly with Redlion and Iconics applications.
- Capability to lift up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving capacity of up to 70 pounds.
