Position Details
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida
- Hiring: Mid-level and Senior-level Technicians
- Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
- Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (varies by role/region)
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, controllers, sensors, relays, and control panels
- Conduct point-to-point checkout, device verification, diagnostics, and functional testing
- Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols
- Work closely with project managers and controls programmers during commissioning and project closeout
- Provide professional on-site service, customer support, and technical assistance
- Document all work performed, test results, and system modifications
Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar HVAC controls position
- Hands-on background with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, and boilers
- Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
- Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer-facing communication
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida
