A long-standing mechanical and automation contractor serving the New York metro region is seeking a skilled
BAS Controls Technician to support field operations across the five boroughs and Long Island.
With more than 40 years in the industry, this organization delivers advanced building automation and control
solutions across multiple market sectors.
Position:
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Deer Park, NY / Greater Long Island
- Territory: NYC Metro – Five Boroughs
- Status: Full-Time | On-Site
Ideal Candidate:
- 5–10+ years of hands-on Building Automation or DDC experience
- Proficiency with Delta Controls – required
- Experience with JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Andover, or comparable systems – preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot Building Automation System (BAS) control issues in the field
- Perform commissioning tasks and conduct point-to-point equipment verification
- Support installation teams on controls setup, programming, and startup
- Test building equipment onsite or remotely to confirm system performance
- Develop or modify control logic and applications as required
- Integrate third-party systems via BACnet, Modbus, and similar protocols
- Update and refine existing BAS software configurations
- Ensure systems remain compliant with security and firmware updates
- Coordinate with owners, operators, and general contractors regarding system progress and troubleshooting
Offered Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $90,000–$105,000 (DOE)
