A growing Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects throughout the Wenatchee region. This role involves hands-on BAS/DDC installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service work across a variety of facility types.

About the Role

The BAS Controls Technician will work on the installation, startup, and optimization of DDC/BAS systems for HVAC equipment including RTUs, AHUs, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, and heat pumps. This role is well-suited for a technician who enjoys fieldwork, problem solving, and improving building performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems for commercial HVAC applications
  • Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and verification of control sequences
  • Troubleshoot system issues including controllers, networks, sensors, actuators, and field devices
  • Install low-voltage wiring, conduit, terminations, and control panels
  • Assist with programming adjustments under direction of senior technicians or engineers
  • Support equipment startup with mechanical contractors and facility teams
  • Document work performed, redline drawings, and maintain accurate service reports
  • Coordinate daily tasks with project managers and job site personnel
  • Provide customer support and represent the company professionally on job sites

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or Controls Installer
  • Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals and sequences of operation
  • Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans
  • Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Delta is a plus
  • Comfortable working in commercial, healthcare, K–12, and industrial environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or within a field team
