BAS Controls Specialist – New York City Metro – $75,000–$95,000 + Overtime + Bonus
About the Opportunity:
A Tier-1 Technology & Integration firm is hiring multiple BAS Controls Specialists to support rapid growth across the five boroughs of New York City. This field-based position is ideal for technicians who enjoy a mix of service, commissioning, and controls troubleshooting. Work is concentrated in NYC with limited travel to North Jersey.
Position Details:
- Title: BAS Controls Specialist
- Location: NYC Metro (role based out of Lyndhurst, NJ office)
- Status: Full-Time
- Travel: ~90% NYC Metro / ~10% North Jersey
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC)
- Manage assigned service contracts and provide customer-facing support
- Diagnose and repair BMS/DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks
- Perform scheduled maintenance and system diagnostics
- Assist with backups, controller setup, and documentation updates
- Optional: Assist with DDC programming (block or script-based)
- Perform 3rd-party integrations via BACnet, Modbus, LON, and other protocols
Ideal Candidate:
- 2–10 years of experience with Building Automation or DDC systems
- Strong troubleshooting, controls logic, and customer service skills
- Experience with systems such as Schneider, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium
- Comfortable working independently across diverse commercial environments
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $75,000–$95,000 (DOE)
- Bonus: 5% Annual Bonus
- Overtime: Available and Paid
