A leading mechanical contractor in Los Angeles is seeking a talented BAS Controls Technician
to support ongoing controls projects across the region. This field-focused position covers diagnostics,
commissioning, programming, and coordination with subcontractors and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is technically capable, detail-oriented, and ready to support projects
from initial startup through final turnover.
Position Details:
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Hourly Pay: $30.00–$65.00/hr (DOE)
- Status: Full-Time | Field-Based | Project-Driven Travel
Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience working with Building Automation or HVAC controls
- Exposure to platforms such as Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, JCI, Andover, Schneider, or equivalent systems
- Journeyman Electrical or mechanical trade certifications – preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and controls logic skills
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working both independently and with project teams
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair Building Automation Systems (BAS) and related controls
- Perform commissioning activities, system testing, and point-to-point verification
- Assist with installation support, equipment startup, and programming-related tasks
- Modify and update BAS programs to align with design intent and operational requirements
- Conduct both on-site and remote system testing to validate performance
- Ensure systems comply with client standards, cybersecurity updates, and best practices
- Work directly with owners, GCs, and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Serve as a lead technician or foreman for self-performed controls work when required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30.00–$65.00/hr (DOE)
