Sr. BAS Installer – Bellingham, WA – $40–$50/hr + Bonus + Company Vehicle – National Mechanical Contractor
About the Opportunity:
A leading national mechanical and controls contractor is hiring a skilled Sr. BAS Installer to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations throughout the Bellingham, WA region. This field-based role focuses on installing low-voltage controls, HVAC automation equipment, and energy-management systems across commercial, education, healthcare, and data center projects. Candidates with a Washington State 06 Low Voltage License and hands-on controls installation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

- Status: Full-Time | Field-Based
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $40.00 – $50.00/hr (DOE)
- Bonus: 2.5% Annual Incentive

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, route, and terminate low-voltage wiring and BAS field devices according to plans, specifications, and WA electrical code
- Run conduit, bend pipe, and pull wire for HVAC controls and automation equipment
- Perform functional testing of sensors, actuators, controllers, and networked BAS components
- Assist with field sketches, as-built documentation, and revision updates
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and installation schedules
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and general contractors on field activities
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior installers on larger projects
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience installing BAS, HVAC controls, low-voltage systems, or electrical equipment
- Current WA State 06 Low Voltage Electrical License (Required)
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, NEC compliance, and proper installation practices
- Reliable communicator with excellent organizational and field coordination skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Northern Oregon or Northern California (15–20%)
