A leading Building Automation & HVAC controls provider is seeking an experienced
BAS Controls Technician to support projects across Honolulu and the surrounding islands.
This role focuses on hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of DDC/BAS systems in commercial,
resort/hospitality, government, and healthcare environments throughout Oahu.
This is an excellent opportunity for a controls professional who enjoys field work, complex mechanical systems,

Key Responsibilities
- Commission, service, and repair BAS/DDC systems for commercial and institutional facilities
- Perform point-to-point testing, functional verification, and equipment start-up
- Troubleshoot HVAC controls, communication networks, and mechanical system operation
- Install and configure sensors, VAV devices, actuators, controllers, and field components
- Update BAS programming, graphics, and system databases as needed
- Support owners, engineers, and facility teams with controls-related technical issues
- Document system adjustments, test results, and service recommendations
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of BAS/DDC controls or HVAC controls field experience
- Hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Alerton, or similar BAS platforms
- Strong understanding of airside/waterside HVAC equipment and control sequences
- Familiarity with BAS communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks
- Ability to interpret mechanical plans, wiring diagrams, and submittals
- Strong communication and customer service ability, especially in hospitality and government settings
- Self-sufficient technician comfortable operating independently in the field
