A leading Systems Integration and Energy Management contractor in the Baltimore/DMV region is seeking an experienced
Sr. Controls Installation Technician to support major Building Automation System (BAS) installation projects.
This role emphasizes field leadership, craftsmanship, and mentoring junior installers while ensuring high-quality outcomes
in commercial, healthcare, laboratory, data center, and mission-critical environments.
This position is primarily a night-shift role (6:00pm–4:00am) supporting a major healthcare project, including occasional Saturday work that qualifies for overtime.

Position Details
- Title: Sr. Controls Installation Technician
- Location: Baltimore, MD (DMV region)
- Hourly Rate: $40.00–$50.00/hr (DOE)
- Schedule: Night shift (6:00pm–4:00am) with occasional Saturdays
- Travel: Local travel to client sites
- Vehicle: Company Vehicle + Gas Card (after 30 days & MVR approval)
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) from rough-in to turnover
- Participate in project pre-planning alongside PMs, engineers, and field supervisors
- Install conduit, low-voltage cabling, and control wiring per plans and specs
- Mount, wire, and terminate controllers, sensors, actuators, VAV box equipment, and field devices
- Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting of wiring, terminations, and device functionality
- Identify installation issues quickly and coordinate with engineering/PMs for resolution
- Support both day and night shifts depending on project phases (this role is primarily overnight)
- Train and mentor junior installers; maintain safe, well-organized job sites
Requirements
- Experience as a Sr. Controls Installer or similar BAS/DDC installation lead role
- Ability to read and interpret control drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and installation schematics
- Hands-on experience installing, labeling, and terminating BAS/DDC hardware and cabling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate crews and interact with clients
- Comfortable working night shifts and occasional weekend schedules
