A premier Building Automation & Energy Controls organization is seeking a driven BAS Project Engineer to support the design, programming, and delivery of high-performance building automation systems used across commercial and mission-critical environments. Position Details

  • Title: BAS Project Engineer
  • Schedule: Hybrid (2 Days in Office / 3 Days Remote)
  • Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 Base + Bonus Opportunities
  • Locations: Jessup, MD | Richmond, VA | Norfolk, VA | Pittsburgh, PA
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and program DDC/BAS control systems for HVAC and energy management applications
  • Create and refine sequences of operation, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
  • Review vendor submittals and verify engineered bills of material
  • Prepare installation packages, submittal sets, and as-built drawings
  • Support commissioning, graphics development, and end-user training
  • Provide technical direction to internal staff, subcontractors, and clients
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects and ensure timelines and quality standards are met

Requirements

  • Experience with Building Automation or HVAC Controls systems
  • Proficiency in automation programming (DDC, PLC, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or related engineering tools
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Comfort working in a collaborative hybrid team model
