Position Details

  • Title: BAS Controls Technician
  • Location: Fort Myers, Florida
  • Hiring: Mid-level and Senior-level Technicians
  • Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (varies by role/region)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, controllers, sensors, relays, and control panels
  • Conduct point-to-point checkout, device verification, diagnostics, and functional testing
  • Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols
  • Work closely with project managers and controls programmers during commissioning and project closeout
  • Provide professional on-site service, customer support, and technical assistance
  • Document all work performed, test results, and system modifications

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar HVAC controls position
  • Hands-on background with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, and boilers
  • Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer-facing communication
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida
