Industrial Automation Account Executive

With a focus on systems integration, combustion control systems, and industrial instrumentation, you'll be engaging with a diverse range of customers and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically target customers based on historical territory performance and set annual sales quotas.
  • Proactively identify potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, referrals, and industry events, to expand your customer base and promote the company's offerings.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with key decision-makers within target industries to establish strong working relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and additional projects with existing clients to enhance service and product offerings.
  • Document and communicate the cost benefits associated with proposed solutions, such as equipment conversions and process efficiency improvements.
  • Act as the primary contact for contract pricing and terms, coordinating with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Advocate on behalf of customers to secure favorable terms and conditions as needed.
  • Provide expert product recommendations and suggest improvements or add-ons based on client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to facilitate account penetration and increase sales volume.
  • Participate in internal product training to maintain product knowledge and escalate any issues as necessary.
  • Conduct research and network through trade organizations to stay informed about industry trends and advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of five years in industrial sales or a related position, demonstrating a strong sales background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude for learning new software.
  • A thorough understanding of the industrial automation landscape, including the solutions and services provided by the company and its competitors.
  • A technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and teams.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet sales targets.
  • Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
