Industrial Automation Sales Support Specialist

As a pivotal member of our sales support team, you will leverage your technical expertise to guide customers and internal teams alike. Your role entails providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that clients receive the best solutions for their process control and analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote a diverse range of industrial automation products and services, explaining functionalities to assist customers in selecting the appropriate options.
  • Collaborate with customers and outside sales representatives to determine their specific requirements for process control and analytical instrumentation.
  • Deliver technical support during sales interactions and assist in processing orders, while identifying opportunities for upselling.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations and order confirmations to ensure a seamless sales process.
  • Utilize the company’s ERP system to build item cards and manage pricing information, ensuring all details are meticulously input.
  • Engage in pricing negotiations to facilitate sales and enhance profit margins.
  • Assist in project specification reviews and complete project take-offs efficiently.
  • Maintain a focus on exceptional customer service by actively resolving issues and developing tailored solutions for clients.
  • Offer overflow support for sales calls, ensuring all customer inquiries are handled promptly.
  • Aid customers in navigating the company’s website and product catalog for a streamlined buying experience.
  • Efficiently manage orders received electronically through customers’ PO portals, ensuring accurate entry and acknowledgment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience in industrial automation or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the aptitude to learn and navigate proprietary software systems effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of the industrial process marketplace, including the roles of customers, consultants, contractors, and end users, along with a solid understanding of industrial process applications and products.
