As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences by offering in-depth product knowledge and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will directly impact our customers’ success and the overall performance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a wide range of products and services, effectively explaining functionality while assisting customers in selecting the best solutions for their needs.
  • Collaborate with customers and outside sales representatives to assess their process control and analytical instrumentation requirements.
  • Provide timely and effective technical expertise to support sales interactions, contributing to order processing while identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive quotations and order confirmations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communications.
  • Build and maintain item cards in the company's ERP system, expertly navigating manufacturer price books and literature to input essential information such as model numbers, pricing, vendor details, and lead times.
  • Engage in pricing negotiations to maximize sales opportunities and improve profit margins.
  • Assist in project specification reviews, drawing assessments, and project take-offs to support the sales process.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to foster lasting relationships.
  • Act as a support resource for sales calls, handling overflow requests efficiently.
  • Guide customers in navigating the company’s website and product catalogs to enhance their overall experience.
  • Accurately retrieve and enter orders from customers using electronic purchase order portals, ensuring all acknowledgments are handled appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a related position within the industrial automation sector.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the capability to learn and effectively use company-specific software.
  • Advanced understanding of the industrial process marketplace, including knowledge of customers, consultants, contractors, and end users, as well as familiarity with industrial applications and products.
