In this position, you will be responsible for both identifying potential customers and nurturing existing partnerships across Virginia. As a key player in the sales solution lifecycle, you will serve as a vital link between your territory and the technical services offered by the organization, ultimately steering consistent sales growth and expanding market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Target customers based on historical performance and annual sales goals to drive engagement and sales activities
- Identify new customer prospects through various channels, including cold calling, referrals, trade publications, and industry events; establish connections with key decision-makers across multiple industries
- Schedule appointments with potential clients that match your ideal customer profile, introducing them to the company’s innovative solutions
- Explore additional sales opportunities within the existing client base to maximize revenue
- Assess and document cost savings through strategic product recommendations, equipment conversions, and process efficiencies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to enhance account penetration and sales volume
- Act as the primary contact for negotiating contract pricing and terms, coordinating with accounting and inside sales teams
- Advocate on behalf of customers regarding specific contract requests and terms
- Make tailored product solution recommendations and identify potential areas for enhancements or add-ons
- Attend internal product training sessions to complete your knowledge base, enabling you to address customer issues effectively and escalate when needed
- Engage in online research and networking through industry trade organizations to stay informed about market trends and customer needs

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in industrial automation or a similar industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and keen to learn and utilize company-specific software
- In-depth understanding of the industrial automation landscape, including competitor analysis
- Technical background in manufacturing, instrumentation, or general maintenance is preferred
- Superior organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a sales-driven mindset
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
