In this role, you will play a vital part in driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically target customers based on historical territory performance while considering annual sales quotas to optimize growth.
- Conduct proactive outreach to potential clients through cold calling, networking, trade publications, and participation in industry trade shows to expand the customer base.
- Schedule and conduct appointments with key decision-makers in industries that align with our offerings.
- Identify opportunities for additional projects and upselling within established accounts to maximize revenue.
- Analyze and document potential cost savings for clients through equipment conversions, product consolidations, and efficiency improvements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both customers and manufacturers to enhance account penetration and sales volume.
- Serve as the primary contact for contract pricing, terms, and conditions, collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes.
- Advocate on behalf of customers when negotiating specific terms and conditions to ensure mutual satisfaction.
- Offer informed product recommendations and suggest areas for enhancements and add-ons to meet customer needs.
- Engage in ongoing product training to ensure comprehensive knowledge and effective issue resolution.
- Leverage online research and active networking through trade organizations to stay informed about the market landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least five years of relevant experience in sales or account management, preferably within the industrial automation sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new software tools.
- Deep understanding of the industrial automation market, including knowledge of competitive products and services.
- Technical experience in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A sales-driven mindset with the capability to meet and exceed targets.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
