Our client, a leading provider in the industrial automation sector, is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Account Executive to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with customers across Southern Georgia and Northern Alabama, driving their sales growth within the vibrant and fast-paced industrial landscape.
In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in identifying potential customers while nurturing existing relationships. You will serve as a key liaison between your territory and the company's technical services, facilitating a seamless sales solution lifecycle that ensures customer satisfaction and business success.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Target and engage potential customers by analyzing past territory performance and setting strategic yearly sales quotas.
- Proactively identify new client opportunities through various channels such as cold calling, referrals, industry publications, and trade shows.
- Schedule impactful meetings with prospective clients within the ideal industries to expand the customer base.
- Investigate and propose new projects and upsell opportunities within the current client network.
- Assess and document potential cost savings for clients through recommended equipment conversions, product consolidation, and efficiency enhancements.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both customers and manufacturers to promote product solutions effectively.
- Serve as the primary contact for contract pricing, ensuring collaboration with accounting and inside sales teams to meet client needs.
- Champion the customer’s interests when negotiating specific terms and conditions.
- Make informed product recommendations and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
- Build and maintain vendor partnerships to further penetrate accounts and expand sales potential.
- Participate in internal product training to enhance your ability to diagnose issues and escalate product concerns as necessary.
- Conduct thorough online research and engage with professional trade organizations to strengthen your industry knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a sales-oriented role within the industrial automation market.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of quickly learning new software relevant to the position.
- Extensive knowledge of the industrial automation industry, including competitors and market dynamics.
- A technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is beneficial.
- Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sales-driven, goal-oriented mindset to meet and exceed targets.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.
