In this position, you will serve as a vital technical resource, providing expert guidance to both internal teams and external customers. Your technical expertise will support product questions and applications, ensuring that customers receive the best solutions for their industrial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and thoroughly explain product functionality and services to assist customers in selecting the correct solutions to enhance their operations.
  • Collaborate with customers and outside sales representatives to understand their process control and analytical instrumentation needs.
  • Deliver technical expertise during sales interactions, efficiently processing orders while identifying opportunities to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare detailed quotations and order confirmations for customers, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications.
  • Build and maintain item cards within the ERP system, navigating manufacturer literature and price books to input accurate product details.
  • Negotiate pricing to facilitate sales and improve profit margins, contributing to the overall business success.
  • Assist in project specifications and drawing reviews, conducting comprehensive project take-offs as needed.
  • Ensure exceptional personal service to all customers, fostering long-term relationships by investigating issues and offering effective solutions.
  • Support sales calls as overflow assistance, enhancing team collaboration and customer experience.
  • Guide customers in using the company’s website and navigating the product catalog to improve their purchasing experience.
  • Retrieve and accurately enter orders received via customers' electronic purchase order portals, providing necessary acknowledgments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the industrial automation sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the capability to learn and utilize specialized company software.
  • Extensive knowledge of the industrial process marketplace, understanding the roles of customers, consultants, contractors, and end users, along with a strong grasp of industrial process applications and products.
