As the Account Executive, you will take charge of the sales solution lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target customers based on historical territory performance, keeping in mind yearly sales quotas.
- Generate new leads through various channels such as cold calling, referrals, trade publications, and industry trade shows, while establishing rapport with key decision-makers.
- Schedule and conduct appointments with potential customers from ideal industries to expand the customer base and enhance brand visibility.
- Explore opportunities for additional projects and upsells within the current client portfolio.
- Assess and document cost savings associated with equipment conversions, product consolidation, and efficiency gains for client recommendations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both customers and manufacturers to foster collaboration and growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for negotiating contract pricing, terms, and conditions while coordinating with accounting and inside sales teams.
- Champion customer interests during specific contract negotiations and product recommendations.
- Proactively identify areas for product improvements and potential add-ons to enhance customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Attend internal product training to stay knowledgeable about products to better address customer inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
- Engage in online research and networking through trade organizations to stay connected within the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in industrial automation or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
- A solid understanding of the industrial automation market, including the solutions offered and competitors.
- A technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Demonstrated capability to work in a sales-driven, goal-oriented capacity.
