Industrial Automation Account Executive

In this dynamic role, you will be the driving force behind our sales strategy, responsible for identifying new customer opportunities while nurturing existing relationships. You will play a critical role in enhancing our brand presence in the market, ultimately leading to sustained sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers in your territory using performance data and sales quotas.
  • Generate new leads through cold calling, referrals, industry publications, and attendance at trade shows, and engage with key decision-makers to expand our business outreach.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with ideal customers, effectively communicating our solutions.
  • Discover potential upsell opportunities and additional projects within your current client base.
  • Analyze and document cost savings through equipment conversions, product consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and manufacturers, serving as their primary contact for contract pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Advocate for customer needs and negotiate specific requests on their behalf.
  • Recommend tailored product solutions and identify areas for product enhancements.
  • Cultivate vendor partnerships to increase account penetration and enhance sales volume.
  • Participate in internal product training to ensure efficient issue diagnosis and escalate problems as needed.
  • Execute online research and actively network through relevant trade organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial automation or a similar sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new software applications.
  • Solid understanding of the industrial automation landscape, including our offerings and competitive products.
  • A technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets while demonstrating a goal-oriented approach.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
