In this pivotal role, you will be an essential part of the sales solution lifecycle, acting as a liaison between your territory and the technical services team. This position involves a range of responsibilities aimed at promoting automation solutions across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target prospective customers through various channels, including cold calling, referrals, trade publications, and industry events, to expand the customer base and drive sales beyond existing accounts.
- Set appointments with potential customers within target industries to discuss needs and solutions.
- Recognize opportunities for upselling and additional projects within the current client base.
- Document and articulate potential cost savings associated with equipment conversions, product consolidation, and enhanced process efficiency.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers to facilitate account growth and product advocacy.
- Serve as the point of contact for contract pricing, terms, and conditions, collaborating closely with accounting and inside sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Make tailored product solution recommendations and work towards possible product improvements.
- Actively develop vendor relationships to support account penetration and sales volume expansion.
- Participate in internal product training sessions to enhance your ability to resolve issues and recommend solutions effectively.
- Conduct market research and network with industry organizations to stay informed about trends and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
- At least five years of relevant experience in industrial automation or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability in learning and using company software.
- Comprehensive understanding of the industrial automation market, including competitor analysis.
- Technical background in manufacturing, maintenance, or instrumentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interactions with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a sales-driven environment with a focus on achieving goals.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, along with a guaranteed training salary for the first year.
