In this position, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. You will play a crucial role in facilitation and management of the sales solution lifecycle, acting as the liaison between your territory and technical services within the organization, all while driving consistent sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target potential customers based on historical territory performance, while aiming to meet annual sales quotas.
  • Utilize a range of strategies, including cold calling, referrals, and networking at industry trade shows, to identify and engage key decision-makers within your assigned territory.
  • Set appointments with potential customers within ideal industries to introduce solutions and expand business.
  • Identify additional projects and upselling opportunities within the current client base to maximize revenue.
  • Document cost savings associated with equipment conversions and process efficiency enhancements.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers, acting as the primary point of contact for contract pricing and terms.
  • Advocate for customers’ needs when negotiating specific terms and conditions.
  • Recommend product solutions and identify potential areas for product enhancements or additional offerings.
  • Establish and develop vendor relationships that facilitate account penetration and increase sales volume.
  • Attend training sessions to stay informed about product developments and to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough online research and engage with relevant trade organizations to stay ahead in a competitive marketplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate/bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in industrial automation or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize company-specific software.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industrial automation market, including competitors and available solutions/services.
  • A technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and clarity.
  • Ability to work in a sales-driven, goal-oriented environment, and to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, with a guaranteed/training salary provided during the first year.
