Industrial Automation Account Executive

You will be at the forefront of facilitating the sales solution lifecycle, acting as a key liaison between your territory and technical services, with a focus on consistently achieving sales growth. Your contributions will help the organization continue its legacy of providing high-quality products and services to process and power industries since 1960.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically target potential customers based on historical territory performance and established yearly sales quotas.
  • Identify and initiate contact with new clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, trade publications, and industry trade shows, expanding the company’s reach across diverse sectors.
  • Schedule meetings with potential clients that align with target industry profiles.
  • Recognize and document opportunities for cost savings for clients through equipment conversions, product consolidation, and enhanced process efficiencies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both customers and manufacturers to facilitate ongoing collaboration and support.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contract pricing, negotiating terms and conditions while coordinating with internal accounting and sales teams.
  • Advocate for clients in negotiations to secure favorable contract terms.
  • Provide tailored product solutions and identify opportunities for additional product offerings and improvements.
  • Develop partnerships with vendors to foster deeper account penetration and increase sales volume.
  • Participate in internal training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge, allowing for accurate diagnostics and issue escalation when necessary.
  • Conduct thorough online research and engage with trade organizations to stay informed on industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five years in a related sales position within the industrial automation field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and adaptable in learning and utilizing company-specific software.
  • Deep understanding of the industrial automation market, including product offerings, competitive landscape, and industry solutions.
  • Technical experience in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation is advantageous.
  • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective client interactions.
  • Capable of meeting sales-driven goals and objectives, demonstrating a strong personal drive.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
