Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a QA/QC Inspector I, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of electrical and mechanical components during construction projects in a mission-critical environment. Expect up to 50-75% travel annually, unless you reside within 50 miles of key job site locations, including Jackson, MS; Milwaukee, WI; Aiken, SC; and Richmond, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret safety regulations, site drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Conduct detailed inspections, examinations, and tests of various components, accurately recording all results.
- Utilize the necessary tools and equipment for effective quality control and assurance.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is maintained in good working condition.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence, effectively communicating findings.
- Present information and updates to groups of customers or partner organization employees.
- Coordinate daily activities with both internal and external personnel, ensuring smooth operations.
- Review and provide insight on QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports.
- Establish and oversee inspection, examination, and testing procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 months of related experience in inspection, examination, or testing, preferably within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems OR
- Completion of an Associate Degree in a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in construction and mission-critical environments, alongside 1 month of relevant inspection experience.
- Visual acuity necessary to meet the Snellen fraction threshold of 20/30 for near and far vision; must be able to distinguish colors and contrasts typical in testing environments.
- A strong general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is essential; military experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Ajera is preferred.
- Adept in budgeting, forecasting, and basic mathematics (calculating percentages and proportions).
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear instructions and engage professionally.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to effectively work remotely while managing travel to project sites.

- This role involves regular travel to varying work sites, with a rotation of 3 weeks onsite and 1 week working remotely.
- Local candidates will be expected to work onsite.
- The position requires frequent physical activity, including standing for extended periods, navigating rugged or unstable conditions, and lifting test equipment up to 30 pounds.
