Project Manager – Mission Critical Environments

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within dynamic and mission-critical environments. This pivotal role involves providing clear direction on the scope of work, organizing project documentation, and ensuring the successful delivery of testing and project outcomes while maintaining profitability. You will be the essential link between the project team, clients, and vendors, embodying the culture of collaboration and excellence within our organization. The position requires approximately 50-60% travel annually, unless you are located near a job site.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project scope of work and pricing estimates that align with client requirements. - Coordinate all communication between clients and project personnel to ensure alignment and clarity. - Assess manpower requirements and develop comprehensive commissioning plans tailored to each project. - Create and manage project schedules, establishing timelines and assigning tasks to team members for successful completion. - Organize and maintain an efficient project folder that includes all relevant documentation from clients, Engineering/Owner Representatives (EORs), and General Contractors (GCs). - Execute regular team meetings, especially during testing phases, and meticulously document meeting minutes for future reference. - Lead punch list meetings and assist testing engineers in managing punch list items effectively. - Oversee project reporting requirements and ensure adherence to client standards. - Monitor and manage the project budget, ensuring profitability, and providing insights for process efficiencies. - Develop and actively manage project plans using Smartsheet to enhance accuracy and project margins. - Deliver precise project forecasts for revenue and maintain updated tracking of the project status, including generating invoices through Ajera (accounting software).

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in commissioning or mission-critical environments. - A general understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems. - A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Military experience is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with Smartsheet and Ajera is an advantage. - Strong budgeting and forecasting skills, with a keen understanding of financial principles. - Excellent communication skills, conveying information clearly and effectively. - Organized, proactive, and responsive demeanor with a strong attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively from home while managing regular travel to project sites.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- A dedicated home office space conducive to daily responsibilities is essential. - Ability to travel to various sites as necessary, with occasional physical demands such as standing for long periods, navigating rugged terrain, and working in varying weather conditions. - Must be able to carry testing equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and perform tasks that may require climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling.
