Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Support Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your technical background and develop your expertise in the commissioning process, including a range of verification techniques and the critical testing of electrical systems. You will act as a trusted third-party authority, ensuring that electrical systems meet design intentions and adhere to the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR). Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and apply available training documentation to enhance daily operations.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Familiarize yourself with the commissioning (Cx) process and implement it effectively in the field.
  • Develop Cx procedures utilizing standard templates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to create commissioning schedules informed by testing durations.
  • Understand load bank requirements and formulate plans tailored to project specifications, considering size, quantity, and special connection needs.
  • Assist in connecting Power Quality Monitoring (PQM) test equipment to various data center equipment types under supervision.
  • Operate PQM test equipment to conduct functional testing with support from your team.
  • Maintain a detailed daily onsite testing log and record data accurately.
  • Perform infrared (IR) scanning and analysis, documenting findings in spreadsheets and marking IR photos appropriately.
  • Capture and organize PQM data, including screenshots from testing software, and contribute to report development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Work Experience: No prior work experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to transition into this field.
  • General Knowledge: A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is beneficial.
  • Military experience is a plus, showcasing discipline and teamwork skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is necessary, enabling effective documentation and communication.
  • Math Skills: Capable of calculating basic figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines efficiently.
  • Communication: Clear understanding of instructions with the ability to convey information succinctly and unambiguously.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take direction while also showing self-starters' qualities.
  • Dependability: Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines and responsibilities.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • You will need a dedicated home office space that supports your daily responsibilities.
  • The role involves regular travel to various project sites, with a travel rotation of 3 weeks onsite followed by 1 week of remote work.
  • If you are local to a job site, you will be expected to work onsite.
  • Flexibility is crucial as project needs may change based on client demands.
  • The position requires frequent physical activity, including standing for extended periods, navigating rugged terrain, and performing tasks in diverse weather conditions.
  • You should be capable of lifting and transporting test equipment weighing between 30-50 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
