Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I

Travel Requirements:
This position involves significant travel, with expectations of 50-75% annually, unless you are based locally (defined as approximately 50 miles from job sites located in Jackson, MS; Milwaukee, WI; Aiken, SC; or Richmond, VA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret documents, including safety regulations, site drawings, specifications, and operating manuals.
- Perform and document inspection and testing results for various electrical and mechanical systems.
- Utilize essential tools and equipment to ensure quality control and assurance.
- Verify that all measuring and testing equipment is in proper working condition.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and documentation of findings.
- Present to groups of clients or internal team members as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate daily activities and schedules.
- Review, analyze, and provide input on QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports.
- Establish and manage the setup of inspections, examinations, and tests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 months of relevant experience in inspection, examination, or testing, specifically within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Alternatively, candidates with an Associate Degree in a related field and 3-5 years of construction experience in critical environments will be considered, with at least 1 month of hands-on inspection or testing experience.
- Strong visual acuity is essential; candidates must possess the ability to meet a Snellen fraction threshold of 20/30 for both near and distant vision, including the ability to differentiate colors and contrasts.
- General understanding of all mechanical and electrical building systems is preferred.
- Military experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Smartsheet and Ajera is a plus.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform calculations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are vital for providing clear instructions and reports.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work independently, including the capacity to manage remote work effectively.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- This role requires a dedicated home office setup for daily responsibilities.
- Candidates must be able to navigate job sites and perform essential tasks in various conditions.
- A typical travel rotation consists of three weeks working onsite followed by one week of remote work. Local candidates will work onsite as needed.
- Candidates must possess the physical capability to stand for extended periods, maneuver in rugged conditions, and occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Mobility tasks may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead.
