Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector I to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of electrical and mechanical components in construction projects, particularly within mission-critical environments. This position offers you the chance to leverage your curiosity and technical skills while collaborating with industry professionals to uphold high quality standards in the construction of state-of-the-art facilities.
This opportunity involves significant travel, estimating between 50-75% of your time annually, unless you are residing in proximity to the job site. Local candidates are defined as those living approximately 50 miles from the designated locations, which include areas such as Aiken, SC; Atlanta, GA; Southern MD (Annapolis Junction); New Albany, OH; Richmond, VA; and Southern VA (Boydton).
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret documents including safety protocols, equipment specifications, site drawings, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Conduct and document results of inspections, examinations, and tests on various components to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize and maintain tools and equipment essential for quality control and assurance processes.
- Verify that measuring and testing equipment is in proper working condition.
- Prepare and communicate effective reports and correspondence to stakeholders.
- Present findings and updates to group meetings with clients or partner organizations.
- Coordinate day-to-day scheduled activities with both internal and external personnel.
- Review and assess QA/QC plans, schedules, and inspection reports.
- Set up and oversee inspections, examinations, and testing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a minimum of 2 months of relevant experience in inspection, examination, or testing of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Alternatively, an Associate Degree in a related field combined with 3-5 years of experience in construction or mission-critical environments may qualify you.

Visual Acuity Requirements:

Must meet the Snellen fraction threshold of at least 20/30 vision in at least one eye, with the ability to distinguish colors and contrasts.

Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in Smartsheet and Ajera considered a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations involving percentages and proportions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work independently, including from home, while managing necessary travel.
