Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I

Location: Various locations with potential for remote work. Up to 75% travel required depending on proximity to job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret critical documents, including safety regulations, equipment and site drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Execute and meticulously record results for inspections, examinations, and tests, ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
  • Utilize necessary tools and equipment integral for quality control and assurance effectively.
  • Ensure that measuring and test equipment is maintained in optimal condition for accurate data collection.
  • Compose clear and professional reports and correspondence to communicate findings and results.
  • Present findings and information succinctly in front of groups, including customers and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate daily scheduled activities efficiently.
  • Analyze and review QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee the setup and execution of inspections, examinations, and tests to facilitate quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 months of related inspection, examination, or testing experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, preferably within large construction projects in critical environments.
  • Alternatively, an Associate Degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management) along with 3-5 years of relevant construction and mission-critical experience plus at least 1 month of equivalent inspection experience.

  • Visual Acuity:

  • Ability to meet Snellen fraction threshold of at least 20/30 for both near and far vision and to distinguish colors and contrasts.

  • Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Smartsheet and Ajera preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute percentages and proportions accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work independently from home and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Candidates must have a dedicated home office suitable for daily responsibilities, with the ability to relocate to job sites as necessary.
  • Regular travel required, including a standard rotation of 3 weeks on-site and 1 week remote work.
  • Local candidates (within approximately 50 miles of job sites) will be expected to work on-site.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, standing for prolonged periods, navigating rugged conditions, working in various weather conditions, and regularly lifting and transporting test equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
