Job Title: Project Manager - Commissioning & Mission Critical Environments
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide clear guidance on the project scope of work, oversee the organization of project documentation, and coordinate onsite testing and deliverables. As the key communication link among the project team, clients, and vendors, you will play an essential role in fostering a collaborative environment that promotes company culture while ensuring project profitability. This position requires a willingness to travel up to 50-60% annually (unless residing locally near project sites).
Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive project scope and pricing structures aimed at driving profitability. - Coordinate all communication with clients and project personnel to ensure seamless interaction. - Assess and establish manpower requirements to facilitate project completion. - Create and implement commissioning (Cx) plans aligned with project goals. - Develop detailed project schedules and timelines for deliverables, assigning tasks and monitoring completion. - Organize and maintain project folders with all relevant documentation provided by the client, Engineer of Record (EOR), and General Contractor (GC). - Facilitate communication among the project team regarding requirements and travel arrangements. - Schedule and lead meetings throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring thorough documentation with meeting minutes. - Manage punch list meetings in collaboration with testing engineers, ensuring efficient oversight of punch list management. - Review and coordinate project reporting requirements for accuracy and compliance. - Monitor project budgets and overall profitability, providing insights and suggestions for increased efficiency in project processes. - Utilize Smartsheet for developing and actively managing project plans to enhance operational effectiveness and margins. - Provide accurate forecasts for revenue projections based on project status. - Use Ajera accounting software to track project progress and generate invoices.
Requirements: - Work Experience: 3-5 years of project management experience in commissioning or mission-critical environments is essential. - Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; military experience is a plus. - Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Smartsheet and Ajera is advantageous. - Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting. - Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate percentages and proportions accurately. - Communication: Ability to grasp complex instructions and relay information clearly and effectively. - Organizational Abilities: Must be organized, proactive, and responsive to project needs, with a keen attention to detail. - Work Environment: Ability to work effectively from home and travel to project sites as necessary.
