Job Title: QA/QC Inspector I

Position Overview: Join an industry leader as a QA/QC Inspector I, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards during the construction of state-of-the-art facilities in a mission-critical environment. As a QA/QC Inspector I, you will conduct inspections, examinations, and tests of electrical and mechanical components, contributing to projects that make a significant impact. Expect to engage in travel ranging from 50-75% annually, or work locally if residing within 50 miles of the jobsite. Key locations include Aiken, SC; Atlanta, GA; Southern MD (Annapolis Junction); New Albany, OH; Richmond, VA; and Southern VA (Boydton).

Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret safety rules, equipment and site drawings, specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance manuals. - Perform inspections, examinations, and tests, recording results accurately. - Utilize necessary tools and equipment for quality control and assurance. - Verify that measuring and test equipment is in proper working condition. - Prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence related to inspections. - Conduct presentations and communicate effectively with employees and customers. - Coordinate with internal and external personnel for scheduled activities. - Review and assess QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports. - Setup and oversee inspections, examinations, and testing procedures.

Qualifications: - Education and experience requirements (one of the following): - High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with 2 months of relevant experience in inspection or testing of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems; or - Completion of college-level coursework leading to an Associate Degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience in construction and mission-critical environments plus 1 month of related inspection experience. - Strong visual acuity, meeting the Snellen fraction threshold of 20/30 for both near and far vision, with the ability to differentiate colors and contrasts. - General understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems. - Military experience is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in Smartsheet and Ajera considered advantageous. - Experience in budgeting and forecasting is preferred. - Solid mathematical skills for calculating figures and percentages. - Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, enabling professional instruction and correspondence. - Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently from home while managing travel requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: - A dedicated home office setup conducive to daily tasks is required. - Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, with a typical rotation of 3 weeks on-site and 1 week working from home. - For local employees, on-site work will be mandatory. - Frequent physical demands include standing for extended periods, navigating rugged terrain, and working in variable weather conditions. - Ability to handle and transport test equipment, occasionally weighing up to 30 pounds.
