Job Summary:

Are you an organized and dynamic leader with a passion for project management? Our recruitment agency is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee crucial projects in mission-critical environments. In this role, you will direct the project team, manage the scope of work, and ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining profitability. You will be the key communicator between clients, team members, and vendors, playing a vital role in fostering a collaborative and efficient work culture.

This position requires willingness for travel – approximately 50-60% annually, unless you're located close to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project scopes of work and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate effective communication between clients and project personnel.
  • Define manpower requirements essential for project success.
  • Create and implement commissioning plans and project schedules.
  • Establish timelines for project deliverables; assign tasks and monitor progress.
  • Organize project documentation, ensuring all materials are complete and accessible.
  • Facilitate project team communications regarding requirements and travel logistics.
  • Lead meetings during project execution, producing detailed minutes for all discussions.
  • Manage punch list meetings and assist testing engineers in tracking progress.
  • Oversee reporting requirements and ensure they are met.
  • Monitor project budgets and focus on maximizing profitability.
  • Analyze project processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Develop detailed project plans in Smartsheet and manage them to enhance margins and workflow.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for revenue projections and track project status.
  • Utilize Ajera accounting software for invoicing and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in project management within commissioning or mission-critical environments (3-5 years required).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Military experience is a valuable addition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheet and Ajera is a plus.
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting skills; must be adept in mathematical calculations (percentages and proportions).
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Organized, proactive, responsive, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently from home and travel to project sites as needed (50-60% of the time).
