Job Title: Project Manager - Commissioning and Mission Critical Environments

Job Summary:

As the Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind organizing project documents, coordinating onsite testing, and ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project scope of work and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate all communications with clients and project personnel to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Assess and determine manpower requirements for each project, ensuring resource availability.
  • Create and implement commissioning plans tailored to each specific project.
  • Construct detailed project schedules and timelines for deliverables, assigning tasks and monitoring completion.
  • Organize and maintain a meticulous project folder that includes all essential documentation from clients, Engineers of Record (EOR), and General Contractors (GC).
  • Facilitate project team communications, including travel arrangements and logistical support.
  • Lead meetings focusing on testing and generate clear meeting minutes to capture critical discussions.
  • Schedule and oversee punch list meetings, collaborating with testing engineers on punch list management.
  • Review and coordinate project reporting requirements, maintaining exceptional accuracy.
  • Monitor project budgets and profitability, identifying areas for financial optimization.
  • Analyze project processes to recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Skillfully develop and manage project plans using Smartsheet to enhance workflow and profitability.
  • Provide accurate revenue projections and maintain ongoing project status updates.
  • Utilize Ajera accounting software to create and track project invoices effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in commissioning or mission-critical environments.
  • Education: A 4-year college degree is required. Military experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheet and Ajera is highly desired.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, proportions, and other figures.
  • Communication Skills: Capable of understanding complex instructions and conveying information clearly and effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be proactive, responsive, and detail-oriented with a natural ability to stay organized.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to manage remote work effectively and travel to project sites up to 50-60% of the time.
